- RJ life?
I did go back earlier than the rest during orientation dinners - and now I regret it. Oh well. At least our OG is still actively lepaking together.
Haha I didn't post the random knitting blogs because no one's interested in random knitting blogs. I'm not even interested in them so why am I rea- oh nevermind.
School. Oh school ): if we had a abrupt transition to active-mugging/studying it'd be great. But no, we had an extra week of holidays, then JIP, and no school again. Then orientation which was a blast and made us all feel like not studying but expecting to, then a week of semi-school (lectures, no tutorials). Because studying in JC is a lot more self-regulatory and therefore requires a lot more discipline on our part, this strange gentle transition just means that we'd might never get down to proper study life.
I also liked how in 411 there were no clear distinctions between muggers and non-muggers. There are definitely people who study more and those that study less but the 'muggers' would also go for class outings and be high and part of us and the 'non-muggers' would also study (in varying degrees/amounts) even with 'muggers' and so on. No one hates on the muggers and muggers don't hate on the non-muggers or anything.
Not so in RJ. There are muggers and there are the people who discriminate against them. I feel kind of in between (because I classify myself to be one of those between the extreme ends of the spectrum). It feels strange.

- Orientation
I browsed through citizen kerry and there's nothing about knitting in there o.o
My brain may not be functioning properly LOL.
How was orientation for you, sand? I feel so tired, I went to sleep last night at like, 11 oclock, all the way until like 9 this morning :'D I wish I could have stayed longer for dinner though, I went back quite early.
Man, this means we have to start studying and everything already ): Not looking forward to it hahaha.
Orientation was... fun. I guess XD I couldn't play many games, but I'm quite thankful actually looking at the viciousness of it all XD Never knew people could be so violent LOL. But Orientation was definitely more fun than sec 1. I didn't really enjoy Sec 1 Orientation. What little I can remember of it, anyway. Actually, I can't remember any of it at all HAHA.
See you around school sandy dear D:

- Hazel's here too, hello!!!
(I sound like an auntie.)
Omg I've somehow stumbled on this sewing/knitting/crocheting sort of blog and started reading (mainly because she's funny, but not because I'm this old aunt churning out knitted things in an armchair or anything!) and then invariably there are links to other such blogs and I started reading some of them too because they are also witty and funny and they make pretty stuff
which I will never be able to make, largely because I don't have the patience.
So balance out all the frivolity, I present to you
this article, which is amazing but very long and heavy (so read it when you're in the mood).
I suck at telling whether an article is good and makes a lot of sense or if it's all bullshit so for now it's pretty awesome. Except it has so much going on that I can't keep in all my in head. I have a thought going on but can't develop it because I continue reading. Eh.
And to end off, we should all read
citizen kerry for normal/funny/food-for-thought things and
Hyperbole and a Half because it's really funny.
It's so funny I could laugh to myself all alone in my room. Not just quiet giggling, but bordering-on-hysterical maniac laughing. Actual ROFL material.
If you don't read anything else, read Hyperbole and a Half. Seriously.

- You're here You're here You're here!
Omg! Sandra's here! X)
I would love to write a whole passage of ornate and well thought prose (SAT prac), but given my current train of thought, it would only result in nothing but a long, garrulous speech. A rambling one which would not make much sense.
Oh my god. I'm affected by the shows I watch too much.
Maybe it's because the character involved is hot? :'D
Oh dearie me.
Anyway Sandra, it's nice to know of your... opinions toward the white floury biscuits and the spring rolls, I think you forgot all the candied sweets and fruits and stuff. Thankfully, I didn't even eat half of my previous year's intake :'D Gotta watch the ol', agein' body, ya know.
See? I'm not even making sense any more! This is because only one thought is currently running through my head (oh dear I'm using the word currently too much, this will affect my SAT essay score). *rephrase* This is because only one thought is reverberating through my mind right now.
WHAT AN AWESOME SHOW IT IS!
oh dear :'D
I'd better go off now before I continue boring you.
Good luck for the SATs!

- I'm here here here!!!
Ahhh the title's not prominent enough - it's my very enthusiastic/exuberant/ebullient (SAT words!) reply to Hazel's lament about the probabilities of my seeing her post in order to prove to the world that I am not MIAing but actually posting.
Albeit a little late.
But anyway, HAPPY CNY GUYS. Or girls. One girl, in fact. Find great joy in being cynical about visiting relatives whose names you don't know anyway or even how they are related to you (Uncle vs. 二姑丈: How You Can Tell The Difference in Cultural Values Between Westerners and Chinese/Asians By How Relatives Are Addressed, authored by Sandra Tan, going at $15.99)! Delight in your expanding waistline and increased rates of heart disease, cancer and all other forms of diseases known to man as a result of
ba kwas and pineapple tarts and the white floury things and the slightly spicy spring roll-looking things and so on. Gladden your hearts at the thought of all the hongbao money being
invested in the bank, forgoing the opportunity cost of impulsive post-CNY spending.
Why am I being so... vituperative? (SAT: Using Obscure Words Only Once, Except for the Occasional Blog Post)
Anyway, I'm taking PCME! Yeah I dropped geog ): I spent really long over the geog/econs dilemma and talked to many people but the reasons against geog were too strong (in fact the only reason why the dilemma lasted for so long was because I was emotionally blackmailing myself with the love of geog - I'm sure that doesn't make sense). Aiyah, the geog syllables is lousy, the way it's being taught is lousy, I heard the teaching dept is lousy. Econs is much more relevant now, not only financially/career-wise but in understanding how the world works and everything geog-ish which JC geog will never be able to provide.
Rant aside, I have a substantial post! = how much I procrastinate SAT studying D:

- It has been like, how long?
I was reading this blog last night! And I felt so nostalgic :'( That I had to post something! (omg especially those posts about us being chikopeks)
"There are three signs of old age: loss of memory ... I forget the other two. ~ Red Skelton"
Anyway omg Sandra I miss talking to you D: Was reading all those old posts dominated by Mousehunt talk... It has been like, how long since I stopped playing Mousehunt? X)
Also, I never ever did ask you what subject combi you're taking! O: Is it Geog/Physics or something? X) How's life, Sandra? :"D
I can't believe JC is starting in like a couple of weeks ;_; I CAN'T BELIEVE IT.
*hyperventilates*
I wonder if Sandy-dahling will ever read this lD

- and I shall tag, on your blog that is
Yup, in that sense it isn't very accurate. But then I've been playing that typing test for a while now (you can tell I have no life) and I've gotten used to it, so.
(Guess when I'm typing this: we were talking on msn then you went off for dinner so I decided to do a post. XD)
I am currently very annoyed with myself as I've been super unproductive.
